DEFINITION

Definition of Advocate:- The person who pleads the cause of another before a tribunal or judicial court Advocates are lawful qualified who quarrel for their clients in a legal case filed in the law court.

The word Advocate is usually used for a lawyer only. This is a person who has completed law degree / LL.B degree and eligible to competent representation in the court on behalf of his/her clients.

Definition of Notary Public officer :- Public officer who verify or certifies writings (such as a deed) to make them   legitimate and takes affidavits, depositions, and protests of negotiable paper. Notaries are appointed by the government to operate oaths and give legalize for essential documents. All notary public are lawyers but not all lawyers are notary public.

POSITION

Advocates need to be present in the law court whenever needed. An advocate, on the other hand, can legally represent clients in court. An advocate is directly involved in a client’s legal paperwork, court proceedings and all other aspects of litigation while working on your behalf and in your best interest.

Notaries can do their job in their office fundamentally.Notary Public does “non-litigious” legal work which means we cannot represent our clients in court.

PRACTICE

After indexing as advocates in Bar Council of India (BCI) completing the Bachelor’s degree in Law, one can do private practice or work as public prosecutors. They can work below any senior advocate as junior advocate right after completing their degree in Law. Legal firms appoint the service of advocates for handling the cases registered in the organization.

 Those who have adequate experience in the concerned field can work as a legal advisor in any well-respected organization.

Notary can exercise only in a particular area as destined by the government authority. They can certify the legal documents held by the clients from that area. Also, they will manage the oaths and affidavits given by them. The profession of notaries has got a great importance as they give authentication for whatever legal procedures necessary in daily life.

 Cyber notaries are accessible for performing the notary jobs required in the cyberspace (information technology).  It is better to use the service of these notaries to sidestep the legal congestion that could happen in the cyberspace (information technology).

REGISTRATION

 Who are register into legal practices directly after completing their graduation in Law are simply referred to as advocates?

More clearly, they are law graduates who register under the provincial bar council to perform legal practices.

Experienced advocates who are appointed by the government to validate legal procedures are known as notaries.

 They are scheduled only if the authority is satisfied with their application.
