International Cyber crime

“Cyber crime”. cyber crime is criminal activity over the medium to computer, cell phones, mobile, and other device according to Information and communication technology etc. and illegal internet-mediated activities that often take place in global electronic networks. In other word cyber crime is a crime that involves a computer and a network. Cyber crime is “international and National” – there are ‘no cyber-borders between countries and Cybercrime often has an international dimension. threat of cybercrime is a major challenge specially for developing countries International cyber crimes often challenge the effectiveness of domestic and international Cyber law. Because existing Cyber laws in many countries are not tailored to deal with cyber crime,since long time the criminal jurisprudence was totally ignorant of cyber crimes

Several Countries organizations and govt. committees have already made joint efforts in establishing global standards of legislation and Cyber crime law enforcement both on a regional and on an international scale. China–US cooperation is one of the most striking progresses recently, because they are the top two source countries of International cyber crime.

Information and communication technology (ICT) plays an important role in helping ensure interoperability and security based on global standards related to cyber crime. General anti countermeasure have been adopted in cracking down cyber crime, such as legal measures in perfecting legislation and technical measures in tracking down crimes over the network, Internet content control, using public or private proxy and computer forensics, and plausible deniability, etc. Due to the heterogeneity of law enforcement and technical countermeasures of different countries, this article will mainly focus on cyber crime for legislative.

Mainly following activity is cyber crime:-

Illegal Access, Data Espionage, Data Interference, Pornographic Material, Child-Pornography, religious offences, Copyright and trademark-related offences, Cyber Fraud, Forgery by digital documents, Cyber terrorism.

Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime (also known as the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime)

International organization

International organization (G8, United Nations, ITU, Council of Europe) has played Important role for protecting of cybercrime.

The following international organization has played the important role:-

G8- Action plan and principles to combat cybercrime and protect data

United Nations -Resolution dealing with computer crime legislation

ITUStandardization and development of telecommunications and cyber security issues

Council of Europe- Convention on Cybercrime (first international convention aimed at Internet Criminal behaviors)
